Today I want to share with you my top ten of best villains in video games and anime/cartoon. Everyone has their most memorable and favorite Villains/Antagonists in video games and in cartoon/anime, some loved others hated.

The list was not made to know who is the strongest or the weakest, I made the list on what villain I think impacted the universe of video games and cartoon/anime the most. Now, in an attempt to be fair, I'm setting down the rule, only "one villain per cartoon/anime and one per games franchise, and only games that I play and cartoon/anime that I watch, so not panic if you not see your favorite villain here.

Lemme just start off by pointing out this was a terribly difficult list to make because I had to find how awesome or bad-ass they were, with their level of evilness and there's only one who I kind of teetered on with that and weighted the 'awesomeness level' a little more than the 'evilness level' but enough talk

So here are my top 10 all medias villains.

10. Bowser from Mario series: As much as I hate Bowser, he is one of the most iconic characters in gaming history and I can't exclude him from this list he is instantly recognizable to anyone even remotely familiar with video games. Okay when we see every list about video games villains we so expect the "King of Koopa" himself on the list but he is low because, he constantly goal to repeatedly kidnap that "Princess Bitch" is only fueled by the hate and envy he harbors towards Mario.

His army are pathetic is a group of henchmen that are easy to kill with just jump in the top of them.. yeah I know the "Hammer Bro" are a pain in the ass but the others just weak and easy to kill. I realize Bowser is comic relief for most of the game, however, the fight with him was very very serious on the Galaxy games not to mention is sometime unfair.

Although he is an incredibly shallow for a video game villain character, I have to give him points for trying.

9. Doctor Robotnik aka Doctor Eggman from Sonic series: Doctor Robotnik also know as Dr. Eggman is a fantastic villain, he is the almost the ultimate mastermind villain who is always behind the scenes pulling the strings of every "Sonic games".

Every mad scientist routine is a good one for video game or anime/cartoon villains but most of them are quite slow and incapable in battle without their minions to do their fighting for them, Dr. Robotnik, on the other hand, was not only evil and demented but, he wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty in a fight aleast in a while.

But as the series continue, he become a goofy character... Eggman is a lot like Bowser, only done better, he is the archenemy of Sonic, and is again one of the most iconic characters in the industry.

Although he is more entertaining than Bowser, he is still fairly underdeveloped, as his desires for world domination are fairly unjustified, being motivated only by greed and narcissism.

However, his vast intellect and relentless determination make him a formidable as a silly foe, he is always one step ahead of Sonic, but is never truly prepared, due to pride allowing him to overlook important flaws in his creations.

However, he has been successful in the past, most notably his ultimate weapon Metal Sonic, who goes on to become one of Sonics most powerful, deadly, and dangerous foes.

Although he is silly and doesn't have much more depth than Bowser, he is still widely recognizable and pulls off the job of stereotype villain quite well, allowing him his time in the limelight and on the list.

8. Queen Chrysalis from MLP FIM: Queen Chrysalis is AWESOME villain for the season 2 finally! She kidnapped Cadence, disguised herself as Cadence, fooled almost everyone during the show ever Princess Celestia, and took control of Shining Armour in order for her Changelings to attack Canterlot and she orchestrated this whole thing RIGHT UNDER EVERYPONY'S NOSES!

And she she almost married Twiligh's brother by shapshifting into his fiancée! She is an improvement over Nightmare Moon is because she has an army, can shape shift, and feeds on 'love' arguably the most evil of methods to gain power.

She came close to victory, and she defeat Princess Celestia too, and the fact that she was never was defeat by the Element of Harmony, she was defeat by the power of LOOOVVVEEE.

7. Myotismon from Digimon Adventure: Perhaps the most badass villain ever created in the Digimon series is Myotismon, he is a powerful and equally fearful villain that the Digidestined as to face. While his powers are great(at night) he's easily able to overcome any of the Adventure children's partners with ease and the truly villainous aspect of this character his is personality.

Myotismon was undeniably the creepiest villain in the first season of Digimon, he is not only is he a digital vampire, but he was also the longest lasting villain in the entire Adventure series.

After the defeat of Etemon, Myotismon sent his underling DemiDevimon to prevent the DigiDestined children from causing their crests to activate that would cause their Digimon to evolve to the Ultimate level, the same level as himself.

In reality, though, though a good six of the partner Digimon evolve to the Ultimate level, they're hardly any match for him since he can cancel out most of their attacks via mental power, and the only two that seemed to fight on equal footing with him were WereGarurumon and Angemon.

In the anime, Myotismon discovers that there is an 8th DigiDestined child that could potentially destroy him, similar to the same plot point with Devimon when the anime started.

Unlike Devimon, though, Myotismon chooses to go to real world Tokyo, Japan to kill this child. Myotismon is perhaps the most evil villain the series has had to offer.

He is savagely insane, ruthless in his desires for domination and power and willing to destroy anyone he needs to in order to achieve his goals. Myotismon will also heartlessly kill his own henchmen if they defect against him or if he no longer has any use for them, as proved when he killed Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon and swallowed DemiDevimon in the real world and heartlessly and quite sadistically tortured and killed Arukenimon in a world made up of thoughts, dreams and wishes.

Delighting in the torment and death of others, Myotismon has no mercy or sympathy for anyone or regret for his actions and as Malomyotismon he seems to have developed a God complex and has no regard for lower forms of life even his own servants.

Myotismon however scores low because for the most part his actions are to achieve an end, but he still the best villains because he is the longest lasting villain in the Digimon series.

6. Venom from Spiderman series: One villain that Spiderman was always left helpless to, one way or another is Venom. Peter had been corrupted from the inside to the outside by the powerful symbiotic creature which had enhanced his abilities. Venom is an alien or a bio-weapond (depend in the version) that has a liquid-like form and cannot survive without a host.

Its first host on Earth was Spiderman before its evil intents became known, his new strength had become his own personal poison, Venom was created when the symbiotic alien suit that made up Spider-Man's black suit was torn of by its own host. When Venom bonded with "Eddie Brock" or any other character depend of the series, to create the supervillain Venom, it also became one of Spiderman’s archenemies.

Today, Venom is one of the most popular foes of Spiderman series.

5. Emperor Mateus from Final Fantasy 2: One of the most underrated villains in video game history, and why did I vote for the Emperor? Well, there are a number of reasons why, he basically takes over the whole world in the beginning of the game. He bombs and levels towns with an airship and a cyclone.

He summons demons from hell to do his bidding, he also killed the parents of Leon, Maria, Guy and Firion by attacking they're home. He pretty much takes over the world, he's the first FF villain to use the poison trick, he actually does destroy a bunch of places, and manipulated.

He kidnaps the princess of Fynn and holds her as a prize for rebels, he creates a giant cyclone and which is destroying everything in its path while he watches in the tower in the cyclone.

He is a powerful being that had the power to split his own soul after death and effectively be able to destroy both God and Satan in order to effectively take over both Heaven and Hell.

Only the Ultimate Spell was able to defeat him, and he could probably destroy everything if he wanted, but wanted to conquer it instead.


The Emperor also as killed four members of your party more than any other villain in the Final Fantasy series ever after, you just gave your most powerful weapon to that character, spent a lots of hours grinding to level up, and they end dead all because OF THE EMPEROR.

This man is both unforgiving and relentless, I'm still angry at him for killing most of the NPCs you meet, you get a chilling feeling... walking into a ruined town with happy music playing, while a cowering person says, "They... They killed them all..."

And after the rebel manage to kill the Emperor you feel that you avenges those that he killed, but after he dies, he somehow takes over both Hell and Heaven. He raises up the castle of hell, and yet he kill another party member

But after you finally kill him for the last time, you feel


In Dissidia he manipulates hero and villain alike towards this goal and it is later revealed that the Emperor orchestrated the plan with the intent for both Cosmos and Chaos to die.

Having manipulated Jecht into fighting Tidus when the former was a Warrior of Cosmos in a previous cycle, team up with Ultimecia.

The Emperor's ultimate goal is for both gods to perish and their warriors with them, leaving him to survive their destruction due to the power of his Crystal and rule over existence unopposed.

So you can call the Emperor the ultimate son of a bitch.

4. Frieza from Dragon Ball Z series: Frieza is probably the most iconic villain in DBZ history maybe not the strongest villain in the series but at his time, he is the strongest with all the qualities of a super villain. Strong and Merciless, and it is due to him that the Super Saiyan concept is introduced in the rest of the series. Frieza also as killed the Sayians race, Krillin, Vegeta and countless of Namekian people, and also the first villain to destroy a planet.

This dude he was pure evil a cold-heartless being, ruthless, loves to kill innocents, sadistic, torture his enemies before he kills them, evil and actually he's a funny dude. He was literally fear throughout the galaxy, committed mass genocide multiple times and even the Kais fear him by name alone. He was truly terror of the Galaxy and with a power level of 120,000,000, make him a villain to be recognized.

He was evil to the highest extreme and he loves to kill out of sheer joy. He chose to be evil as well and was not created evil, he is the only one who could destroyed Goku if it wasn't for the fact that he loved toying with him. He's a galactic overload who's in charge over 79 or more planets and who's also the leader of the planet trade system.

Frieza has 4 amazing transformations, he was the one with the most story that actually even on his death, Frieza is mention or appear(flashback) in some part of the movie and part of the episode series, and it was thanks for Frieza that villains such as Cell are introduced in the series.

Frieza was my first favorite villain in the anime and most interesting to boot!

3. Albert Wesker from Resident Evil: Nothing's worse than someone you trust for so many years stabbing you in the back, and Albert Wesker is the ultimate backstabber in the survival horror franchise Resident Evil as almost everything in the Resident Evil series can be traced to Wesker's actions in one way or another, and try as they might, the heroes just can't seem to stop him.

Wesker has proven to be a untrustworthy person as he killed Ozwell E. Spencer, the founder of Umbrella and the man who was certainly his father, and finally, he killed his lover Gionne Excella, who really cared about him. As the story of Resident Evil goes on, you soon discover he have delusions of godhood.

Throughout the series he torment many people whose lives were affected by the virus that he helped set loose as he is usually behind most of the events and has no problem to turn on people who thought they were his allies or associates as he commits numerous crimes in the pursuit of Godhood.

In Resident Evil 5, his plan in almost laborious detail, Wesker explains that release Uroboros to Earth atmosphere to infect millions with the virus, thereby achieving his goal of becoming a God. While there's no knowing whether or not this plan would work but for Wesker so fervently believes that it will, he's prepared to sacrifice everyone and everything else in the world to do it.

He has been well received by fans as an intriguing character and difficult opponent, manipulating most events of the game series, and taking every advantage he can from the outbreak.

Truly the proverbial "man behind the curtain" of the Resident Evil series, he is considered to be one of the most memorable and diabolical of villains in the video game market. He helps define the stereotype of a well written video game villain, and is without a doubt one of the best.

The character is a genuinely frightening villain because of his superpower, and his return to the role of main antagonist in the fifth rendition of Resident was rightly rewarded and all this was done to eliminate the weakest specimens of the humanity population and rule the world as a god. Although, given the number of deaths caused by Wesker, he was doing pretty well for himself make his place among Resident Evil's most memorable douchebags you ever see.

2. Master Xehanort from Kingdom Hearts series in the "Xehanort Saga": The Universe of Kingdom Hearts has a really tragic origin, and the man named Master Xehanort is the person to blame for this. In his quest to embrace the darkness, Master Xehanort manipulates everyone against each other such as, Terra, Ventus, and Aqua and even the famous Maleficent was a victim of Master Xehanort, he put friends against friends, teachers against students and, literally put a Keyblade Warrior of ten years old against his dark side, when he rip Ventus dark side created Vanitas to get the reaction when the two sides fight.

[SPOILER ALERT] The game has a depressing ending with Master Xehanort stealing Terra's body and using it to launch its inter-planetary genocide between this game and the others, make Ventus to lost his heart, and make Aqua to by trapped on the Realm of Darkness, and some of the worlds in "Birth by Sleep" were erase before the story of the original Kingdom Hearts began and is Master Xehanort fault.

After the events of "Birth by Sleep" he lost his memory and took on a new form, on his new form he was then apprenticed of "Ansem the Wise" and began research about the peoples hearts that would lead to the creation of the Heartless and Nobodies. After he betray Ansem the Wise, he takes on his identity and becomes a Heartless himself, dubbing himself "Ansem: the seeker of Darkness".

As a Heartless, he seeks to unlock the power of Kingdom Hearts: The heart of all worlds, which he believes to be the ultimate source of darkness. Through the process of unleashing his army of Heartless across the various worlds in the universe, he sought to use the hearts of those people and worlds that fell to the Heartless to unlock Kingdom Hearts.

He was defeated by the game's main protagonist Sora, and returned as a Nobody in Kingdom Hearts 2 under the name, "Xemnas" seeking to undo the repairs to the universe made in the first game and unlocking Kingdom Hearts again in the quest to become whole but he is again defeated by Sora's friends.

Master Xehanort has been a villain spanning many Kingdom Hearts games and which we are yet to see a conclusion. He has been defeated, formed a heartless and nobody both of which extremely powerful to the point where they command both their species, and after all of this he has been reborn and is making his return for the conclusion in Kingdom Hearts-3DS.

The reason he is on this list is because of all the damage he caused through the series, and his incarnations as done.

He caused the temporary death of millions of people and worlds, and created the plague of "Heartless" and "Nobodies", he's done enough evil deeds to merit a spot on the list make his place among the Kingdom Hearts's most memorable douchebags you ever see.

1. Malefor from the Legend of Spyro trilogy: And my number one favorite villain of all time is, Malefor or better known as "The Dark Master" is the most the ultimate evil in the Spyro series, he doesn't have any comical traits like the previously Spyro's villains, he is cunning, powerful, cruel and merciless.

Malefor acts as the main antagonist in the Legend of Spyro series, and is portrayed as the incarnate of evil and darkness, his personality has ranged from machiavellian tyrant to a insane cunning personality, but he is always shown to have an unquenchable thirst for power and intense powers of dark magic.

He is essentially another Bowser, and Eggman, except treated far more seriously, and much better developed, he is very manipulative and often uses others characters to his advantage ever Spyro, allowing him to achieve his goals.

No one is creepy like him, he's huge, and evil. His laugh is pure evil, he always knows how to manipulated everyone around him, so there is no question that this dark being is truly evil, Malefor brainwash Cynder, he also tried to coerce Spyro into helping him, but Spyro bluntly refused.

Malefor is merciless and completely unempathetic, he seeks only the destruction of every living thing and created a new one because he sees the world and the habitats is weak, so he seek to create a new one, where him as the master and creator of this new world, and this is what more villains should be like, a being that goes from a dark lord, master of manipulation, homicide, insane, and total sadistic villain.

And this is why Malefor is the ultimate villains of all time.
